Kingston Common Futures presents this workshop with expert facilitator and Theatre of the Oppressed Joker S. Leigh Thompson.

S. Leigh Thompson will facilitate this three hour workshop which will support coming up with ideas, brainstorming, imagining, collaboration and community connection through interactive play and creative dialogue.
Kingston Common Futures exists to support projects that build up the commons and promote resource sharing. So-how do we share? How do we collaborate? What needs exist in our community? Brainstorm through joyful, liberatory play! Collaboration to create and implement projects takes practice. What makes a collaboration fun, successful, and effective? This workshop will explore idea generation and tools for collaboration through play using tools from Theatre of the Oppressed.
Wear or bring something you are comfortable moving around in.
Spanish interpretation and childcare will be provided. Interested kids are welcome to participate in the workshop too!

About S. Leigh Thompson
S. Leigh Thompson (he/they) is an expert facilitator, Theatre of the Oppressed Joker, community organizer and all around joyful trouble-maker who has worked at the intersections of art and activism for over 25 years. A trans queer white and Native person with disabilities, Leigh has worked with communities around the globe to develop creative tools to address issues of power, privilege and oppression and attend to oppression-based trauma. Leigh has also worked with individuals and organizations of all shapes and sizes as a strategist, coach and organizational development consultant.
